Hayling Island Amateur Dramatic Society presents 'Allo 'Allo “Listen very carefully. I will say zis only once...” Based on the hugely successful BBC series, which ran for seven seasons, this uproarious comedy tells the misadventures of René Artois, a hapless cafe owner in occupied France during the Second World War. Come and see all of your favourite characters brought lovingly to life by HIADS: including Rene’s tone-deaf wife Edith, word-mangling policeman Crabtree ("We are up the crick without a piddle...") and the limping Gestapo officer Herr Flick. Rene and Edith have stashed a priceless portrait (The Fallen Madonna with the Big... you remember), stolen by the Nazis, in a sausage in their cellar, where two British airmen are also hiding until the Resistance can extract them. The only way to communicate with London is using a wireless transmitter disguised as a cockatoo. Avoiding being shot by the Germans, being shot by the Resistance and being shot by his wife for his numerous dalliances with the waitresses, René desperately tries to save his café and his life, to hilarious effect.

Suitability: As with the beloved TV show, this play contains adult humour.
