Having released 18 albums to date,Amina Figarova is one of the most admired composers in jazz. Hailing from Azerbaijan, the New York-based Figarova is an internationally recognized pianist, and bandleader.

Every member of Amina's quintet stands out as a first-rate musician, and their dedication to her eclectic and powerful compositions gives this group its intensity. Amina has been a hit around the world, including at major festivals including the Newport Jazz Festival and tonight's concert will feature pieces from Amina's albums, 'Suite for Africa' and 'JOY'.
