This Bedfordshire Symphony Orchestra concert will begin with Granville Bantocks The Sea Reivers, conducted by the composers great-grandson, Bjorn Bantock. The programme will also include ShostakovichsCello Concerto No. 1 with Jakob Kullberg, a professor of cello at the Royal College of Music noted for his collaboration with the Danish composer Per Nrgrd, as soloist. Tchaikovskys most dramatic and tragic last symphony,Symphony No. 6 Pathtique, rounds off BSOs season of concerts.
