Lineup: Rachel Starritt (piano), Glen Manby (alto sax), Paula Gardiner (bass), Liz Exell (drums) guest Steven Kirby (guitar) Cardiff-based alto player Glen Manby never fails to please with his integrated hard bop arrangements which fully embrace more modern jazz idioms. Joined here by pianist Rachel Starritt and US based guitarist Steven all at home in the idiom. Rachel's remarkable piano improvisation skills also complement her love of jazz. She studied with Nikki Iles and Douglas Finch and was mentored by the renowned Welsh pianist and composer Huw Warren Unsighted Rachel Starritt who hails from Bridgend, has studied both jazz and classical music at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama (RWCMD) in Cardiff. She has also studied at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester and at the Conservatori Liciu in Barcelona What they say: “An exceptional performance from these highly talented musicians.
