Cradle a cosy brew and listen in as Celtic Connections musicians chat about music and creativity. Your host Deirdre Graham will be guiding the conversation, finding out what makes the guests tick, what drives them to do what they do and any other stories they may wish to share.

Deirdre Graham takes a look at the stories and themes behind Scottish Gaelic songs, in a continuation of her Gaelic Song Stories podcast series, inviting the audience into he heart and soul of the Gael and giving a deep sense of connection to Scottish culture, family and heritage. Since the release of her debut album, URRANTA in 2020, Deirdre has risen in prominence in the Scottish folk music scene, performing across Scotland, undertaking collaboration projects, turning her hand to guest presenting on BBC Radio Scotland’s prestigious show ‘Travelling Folk’, and was appointed as Assistant Musical Director for BBC Alba’s Cèilidh na Bliadhn’ Ùire (Hogmanay show).

This is a rare chance for audience members to learn more about the unique life stories of the people behind the music. Come and listen with a cup of tea and a wee treat!
