Brookfield-Knights present Bluegrass Sensations, Taff Rapids

As the name might suggest, there are strong links between Wales and North America, for the band, Taff Rapids. Fast becoming one of the most talked about bands both at home and abroad, they have a Canadian up front on vocals/banjo (and writing), are Cardiff-based, and have a Scot on fiddle. And they have been taking the US Bluegrass scene by storm with their blistering style. In the home of the genre, even the diehards of trad love them so much that they want the four-piece to head back over there and make it quick! Invited to take part in the prestigious World Of Bluegrass event last year, the band completed a successful tour over there and headed home with come back soon requests ringing in their ears. This year, they released their new album after returning from a triumphant second American tour, and BBC Radio 6s Cerys Matthews instantly declared herself a fan and told listeners theyd delivered an interesting curveball that deserved a lot of attention.
