Opening Concert

What better way to open the 2024 Findhorn Bay Festival than with a chance to hear local talented musicians and singer-songwriters on their home turf?

Brother Sea’s music will sweep you away with a sense of boldness and innocence. With hypnotic vocals accompanied by a playful twist on classic folk instruments, they create a sense of awe and intrigue with songs like campfire stories exploring heritage and folklore.

William Freeman is a northeast-based singer/songwriter who channels his musical talent and passion into his songs creating ambient and thought-provoking melodies, which fit comfortably into the indie folk genre

Similar in style to those of Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Queen, Björk and more, pianist, singer, lyricist and songwriter Verii's style is an extraordinary blend of contemporary pop, Rock'n'Roll and Blues, flavoured with jazzy tones.

The evening culminates in a lively and dynamic session from The Tweed Ceilidh Band. Fusing traditional music with modern influences, world champion accordionist, Graeme Mackay, is joined by his son Craig on drums.

Not to be missed, it is sure to whet your festival appetite for the next ten days.
