Cahalen Morrison & Friends and Naomi Bedford & The Ramshackle Band

Details

From the high desert of New Mexico to the rocky shores of the Pacific Northwest, Cahalen Morrison now resides in sunny Glasgow. The vast landscapes and rich cultural heritage of each of these places has profoundly shaped this poetic storyteller, as he weaves magic with his remarkable vocal ability, expertly crafted songwriting, and moving guitar and banjo playing. A true “musicians’ musician”, he shapeshifts comfortably between genres.

Cahalen is currently working on a new album with some of Scotland’s most influential and forward-thinking musicians, many of which join him for this intimate show of new material at the Mackintosh Church. Including Kris Drever (guitar/vocals), Kathleen MacInnes (vocals), Euan Burton (bass), Kim Oehme (vocals), Norman Willmore (saxophone), Tom Gibbs (keys), Corrie Dick (percussion) plus surprise guests.

NAOMI BEDFORD is a renowned English folk and Americana singer-songwriter. Her latest album, Strange News Has Come To Town, received critical acclaim. Collaborating with music legends like Justin Currie and Paul Heaton, she’s toured extensively and performed at prestigious festivals. Her powerful vocals and heartfelt performances have earned her praise from industry icons, including Iggy Pop and Shirley Collins.
