Couldn't get out of work for Valentine's day this year? We've got you with a concert of magical fantasies. The lynchpin of this concert is a suite of fantastical music from Final Fantasy VII, score by Nobuo Uematsu. There's a reason that this is held up as one of the most perfect videogame scores in history. We've also got a treat for Hans Zimmer fans with a suite from Interstellar.
On the classical side we have some Wagner (THE ORIGINAL fantasy composer) with his Siegfried Idyll, a romantic present to his wife Cosima using themes from his opera of the same name, named after his son, and late Romantic with a capital 'R' Rachmaninov's Morceaux de Fantasie.
We're passionate about connecting classical and film and videogame audiences, we reject the nonsense divide between "serious" classical music and fantastic modern tunes.
