Based upon the French version of this classic fairy tale, Rodgers and Hammerstein's adaptation of Cinderella brings new life to the story of a young woman forced into servitude who dreams of - and achieves - a better life. This enchanting adaptation of the timeless fairytale was originally written for a special television broadcast which aired in 1957. Starring Julie Andrews in the title role, it was the most widely viewed program in television history and was watched by over 60% of the entire populations of the USA, globally reaching 100 million viewers.

Since then, Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella has continued to charm audiences in productions both on stage and on television, with great warmth and more than a touch of hilarity, this romantic fairy tale still warms the hearts of children and adults alike. The show features some of Rodgers and Hammerstein's most beloved songs including: 'Impossible', 'In My Own Little Corner', and 'Ten Minutes Ago'.

Music By: Richard Rodgers, Book & Lyrics By: Oscar Hammerstein II, Adapted For The Stage By: Tom Briggs. From The Teleplay By: Robert L. Freedman.
