Kianush Robeson graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music where he won the John Mills guitar prize. He achieved a gold honour award in the IFA competiton in 2020, and was a finalist in the Houston International Guitar Competition 2021. He has toured extensively with his programme ‘Impressions of Segovia’ and audiences praise his tone and musical sensitivity. Recently he has recorded the programme in Spain, released in early 2024. Kianush’s unique sound has led to collaborations with luthiers Stephen Eden, Stuart Christie, Oren Myers to record on their instruments.
Tonight's concert features some of the most exciting classical guitar works of the last century, including Castelnuovo-Tedesco's 'Capriccio Diabolico - homage to Paganini', plus works by Poulenc, Ponce, Berkeley and Smith-Brindle.
