Com-pàirteachas | Partnership - The Raasay / The Restitution

This is a newly devised competition with none of the conventional standards or rules applying. Each competitor will play a slow air, sean nos style, or a piobaireachd song followed by a selection of strathspeys, reels and jigs to be played with a tempo and rhythm suitable to be danced to by a hard shoe percussive Scottish step dancer.

Taking part are the following pipers: James MacKenzie, Angus Nicolson, Michael Grey, Hector Henderson, Decker Forrest, Lorne Cousin, Simon McKerrell, Ben Duncan, Ailis Sutherland, Ciar Milne, Duncan Nicholson, and Micheal Steele

The Judges for the day will be: Dr. Angus MacDonald, Anna Murray, Angus MacKenzie and Frank McConnell

The event will include a talk by Professor Hugh Cheape on the MacKays of Raasay
