Nothingheads 'A riffier, less brittle Public Image Limited' (Steve Lamacq BBC6 Music) 'Confrontational and searing' (Louder than War) London powerhouse Nothingheads make guitar driven soup that falls somewhere within garage punk and dark post punk. Big riffs and snarling vocals incorporate influences from Public Image Limited to OhSees and Girls In Synthesis. 2023 saw a UK tour and the release of EP, 'Sunlit Uplands', on DIY punk label Just Step Sideways (Beige Banquet, Tommy Cossack, SteakBlake) with tracks 3000 Years in Showbusiness and Rat championed by Deb Grant and Steve Lamacq on 6 music. The bands debut LP, 'The Art of Sod', is due for release on Sister 9 on November 8th. It explores themes of voyeurism, menial household chores, amazonian mines and unattainable pleasures, all communicating some sort of spiritual dissonance, which is then spat out and disemboweled by noise.
