Join us for the happiest concert of the year!
Get your festive celebrations off to a sparkling start with our traditional Christmas concerts in Old Glossop Parish Church.
Two performances featuring our String ensembles and Dark Peak Youth Orchestra in the afternoon and our wind bands in the evening.
The Concert Band will play Gustav Holst's joyous suite of English folk songs, the Second Suite and the Dark Peak Youth Orchestra will be giving a rousing performance of Beethoven's stirring overture "Egmont" as well as the well known film theme "The Dam-busters March". Alongside performances from all our groups from juniors upwards the icing on the Christmas cake will be seasonal favourites including Walking in the Air from the Snowman, Fairy Tale of New York, The Nightmare Before Christmas .... and of course our Christmas concert wouldn't be complete without "Sleigh Ride".
