Dart Music Festival

The Dart Music Festival began with a simple premise, to bring some great music into Dartmouth and provide a boost to the economy of the town after the long winter months. With this in mind the decision was made to keep the music at the heart of this beautiful riverside town and, lacking a theatre or arts centre at the time, an imaginative and diverse choice of venues was established.

For 3 days every May, Dartmouth becomes Music Central and we have had acts play in numerous unique venues such as an ancient fort, an 11th Century Church, a naval college, a floating stage and an orchard. The festival has grown to the point where we have over a hundred acts playing everywhere from our main Bandstand stage to many of our wonderful pubs, cafes, bars and hotels.
