Su-A Lee & Friends | Soundhouse Winter Festival

Details

Featuring Duncan Chisholm, Donald Shaw and Hamish Napier

Su-a Lee is one of Scotland's most versatile, adventurous and charismatic cellists. She has worked with rock icons such as Jack Bruce (Cream); jazz musicians including Peter Erskine (Weather Report) and Thomas Strønen; and in the world of folk sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan from India and Scottish folk-electronica pioneer Martyn Bennett.

Su-a works extensively within the UK classical and folk music scenes and is a founding member of the daring and highly innovative Mr. McFall’s Chamber. She is a long-standing member of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra where she remains as Assistant Principal Cello.

For this very special show Su'a will be joined by three of these stellar collaborators: Duncan Chisholm, one of Scotland's most accomplished fiddlers, celebrated multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer Donald Shaw, and Hamish Napier, producer, tunesmith and multi-faceted performer.

Expect an evening of traditional, and not so traditional tunes.
