A series of sessions where participants join in to sew a large wall hanging depicting Derbys Grand Theatre, where 'Dracula' was first performed in 1924.

Characters from the stage play (including Dracula in his different forms) will also be stitched into the scene. No embroidery experience needed.

Lucy is a former primary school teacher turned textile artist, she is passionate about nurturing creativity and self-expression. Working from her studio in Banks Mill, Derby, she teaches art and textiles to young people and adults. Lucy creates textile art, often addressing issues including gender-based violence and neurodivergence; in 2024 several works were selected for publication and exhibitions.

presented as part of Dracula returns to Derby, an AHRC-funded research project led by the University of Derby in partnership with Derby Museums, Derby Theatre, Bournemouth University and Sheffield Hallam University. A series of public workshops and events that connect the city with the worlds most famous vampire.
