Experimental sound and drawing workshop

In this fun workshop, artist Sophie Seita will invite participants to experiment with graphic musical scores by drawing sounds they hear or imagine! Graphic scores are alternative forms of notation for sound. The afternoon will include listening meditations, drawing to recorded music, and making sounds with everyday objects, capturing these real or imaginary sounds through drawing and writing. Bring your creativity and any objects for sound-making and drawing-writing, although all materials will be provided. All ages and languages welcome, no prior experience needed. The prompts and imagery used will be open-ended, playful, sensory, and can be adapted to any body and any mind.
