Finding the Funny - Burlesque Workshop with Seedy Frills

Join international, multi-award winning Burlesque Comedienne, Seedy Frills and explore ways to 'find the funny' in burlesque. This workshop will include a variety of fun and silly exercises to encourage your more playful side and to help you overcome any inhibitions which is essential for making a fool of yourself on stage. You will then be taught a classic burlesque-inspired dance routine during which you will learn to identify possible moments in the choreography where comedic elements could be added and also explore ways of adding your own.

Please bring along a pair of gloves- these can be any style from elbow length opera gloves to marigolds or even gardening gloves! Wear whatever you feel comfortable to move about and dance in and remember to bring a water bottle. Outdoor shoes are not permitted inside the studio. This workshop is open to everyone aged 18+ and all levels and experience are welcome. No nudity involved.
