SAINT-SAËNS La Princesse Jaune Overture Concerto played by the winner of the North & East London Young Musician of the Year competition RIMSKY-KORSAKOV Sheherezade

Conductor Mark Shanahan Leader Sophie Cameron

We continue our 2024-2025 season and exciting programme at the Sir James Hawkey Hall. Saint-Saëns reflects the huge popularity in France of Japanese style in this comic overture from his 1872 opera; we are delighted to welcome the winner of the North & East London Young Musician of Year to perform a concerto of their choice; and we finish off our annual visit to Hawkey Hall with Rimsky-Korsakov’s ever-popular masterpiece conjuring up the storytelling of the Thousand-and-one Nights.

If you are interested in attending all four of our main concerts this season (October 2024 -June 2025) you might like to consider purchasing a Season Pass.
