Freckfest Presents: Xan Tyler and Little Sparrow

Freckfest are delighted to be presenting this unique double bill show celebrating two extraordinary singer-songwriters.

Xan Tyler is a formidable songwriter with impeccable vocal talents. Her work covers such wide subject areas and musical landscapes. Since her beginnings as a teenage backing singer for South London’s risqué cult band Death Bang Party, Xan has had an eclectic musical journey. Her big break was with Creation Records when she was signed to front electro pop duo Technique. After touring the world with Creation she was signed to legendary dance label Positiva.

Little Sparrow is singer/songwriter Katie Ware. Katie formed Little Sparrow in 2010, a title that came from Elbow front man Guy Garvey. She performs regularly with a band of talented musicians that provide a mix of harmonies, strings, guitars, pedal steel and percussion. The self-release of her debut album 'Wishing Tree' in 2014 had tracks featured on BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, along with regular regional and international play.
