Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play, "God of Carnage" by Yasmina Reza presents an evening in the lives of two middle class, married couples who meet to discuss a playground fight between their two sons. The four begin to discuss this civilly but, as the evening wears on and more alcohol is imbibed, the rather smug veneer breaks down and verbal and physical carnage ensues. Originally written in French, the play was translated into English by the acclaimed translator, Christopher Hampton. Our production retains this French influence.
