Barry Green, a wonderfully inventive pianist with a fluent and melodic style returns to Sheffield with a great trio featuring two renowned British musicians. Barry’s gig with his New York Trio at the Crucible Playhouse was a particular success. For this gig he is joined by award winning saxophonist and composer Ian Ballamy, who has worked with many cutting-edge figures of today’s contemporary jazz scene, alongside legendary bassist Dave Green who, in a career spanning over six decades, has worked and recorded with numerous groups in all styles of jazz. Expect virtuosity and impeccable musicianship from these versatile players.
