This two-part hand-building workshop is perfect for both beginners and those with some experience in clay. Over two weeks (2 hours per session), you’ll learn essential techniques such as slab building and coil work, with the chance to create 1-2 unique pieces.
Beginners will receive step-by-step guidance, while more experienced students can work on self-led projects with personalized support. With small class sizes (up to 8 people), you'll benefit from plenty of hands-on assistance.
Week 1 (Beginners): You’ll create a coil pot and design a template for a slab pot.
Week 2 (Beginners): You’ll refine the coil pot and assemble and finish the slab pot.
At the end of the course, you’ll choose a glaze, and the instructor will fire and finish your work, ready for collection within two weeks. It’s a fantastic way to explore or refine your hand-building skills in a fun and supportive setting!
Please bring a towel, apron, and wear clothes that you won't mind getting a little messy – clay washes off, but it can get on everything!
