Hidden History

Since 2020 HES has supported an archaeological field school in Holyrood Park for archaeology students from Edinburgh University. This field school has provided an opportunity to investigate several of the Park's prehistoric archaeological sites, to establish new dating and to assess the vulnerability of these sites to erosion. This talk (with Graeme Cavers) will give an overview of the work carried out so far, and consider some of the key highlights of this new phase of research into the archaeology of Holyrood Park.
