THE BASEMENT AT GREEN NOTE... Hosting the best of early Blues & Jazz...
Ian Beetlestone is a highly original pianist, singer and songwriter. His influences as a writer range from Cole Porter to Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen; as a pianist from Nina Simone and Professor Longhair to John Cale. The songs and style though are very much his own - a leftfield lyrical and strong melodic sensibility matched by a unique and percussive approach to the piano.
Ian began playing in bars in his native Yorkshire aged thirteen. These days he can regularly be seen gigging around London with jazz, blues and rnb stalwarts the Fallen Heroes.
