Improv 101: Intro to Long Form 5-week course.

This course does not require a prerequisite.

During this 5 week course, you will learn the skills and techniques utilised by some of the most popular improv theatres in the U.S.! This course is unlike any other in the city, so it’s great for beginners and more experienced improvisers looking for a new challenge. We cover basics like “yes, And”, object work, base reality and exploring comedic ideas working towards learning the fun ‘Armando” form. At the end, we offer you an opportunity to perform this form in front of an audience!

This course is ideal for actors, writers, directors, comedians, hobbyists and beyond. It's designed to cover the basics but also explores how comedy works. It's also the first of 3 possible courses that would allow you the oppotunity to audition for one of our Harold teams.
