Join award-winning singer, Iona Fyfe as she celebrates ten years of live performance, revisiting ballads and folksongs from her childhood in Aberdeenshire in addition to a new programme of repertoire from her upcoming album ‘Ballads’. Joined by Rory Carter (mandolin), Michael Biggins (piano), Charlie Stewart (fiddle/double bass) and Gillie O’ Flaherty (guitar). Two time winner of Scots Singer of the Year, Iona became the first vocalist to win the coveted title of Musician of the Year at the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards.
Growing up in Huntly, steeped in the ballad tradition, Iona left the North East, aged 17 to study Traditional Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. A decade has seen her share her regions folksongs, stories and traditions with audiences all over the world, from Australia to the US. In 2023, she acted as musical director of Scots Women, a show which brought generations of singers together, which garnered a four star review in The Scotsman.
Hekate, a Norwegian trio, blends traditional dance music with improvisation. Their electrifying sound has earned them critical acclaim, culminating in their debut album release on Grappa/Heilo Records in June 2025. After a successful debut concert and a high-profile TV appearance, they've become a rising star in the Norwegian music scene.
