Jay Davis's Bad Trad

Jay Davis's BadTrad is formed from an inquisitiveness about people. Compositions include pieces using melodies overheard being hummed by strangers in the street, a robotic construction from a laptop and a three year olds' piano improvisation. Showcasing some of the most exciting improvisers from the UK scene, the band draw on a broad range of musical influences from European choral music to free jazz. This gig marks the beginning of a run to promote the release of the band's eponymous debut album. The record is due for release on the Fresh Sound New Talent label on April 11 2025.
