Walthamstows premier jazz night featuring London and the UK's finest musicians. 8pm, at Walthamstow Trades Hall.
On Tuesday 3rd December, for our final Trades of the year we will be featuring tenor saxophonist Maddy Coombs. Maddy is a young up-and-coming tenor saxophonist from Northampton. Her music is heavily influenced by many of the jazz greats, from Coleman Hawkins to John Coltrane and beyond. She is also influenced by the thriving UK jazz scene and has played with artists including Shabaka Hutchings, Binker Golding, Olivia Dean, Judi Jackson and The Silhouettes Project.
She will be joined by the rhythm section of Sam Davies, Guy Dempsey, and George Prentice Povey to present a night of music influenced by the swinging bands led by Ben Webster, Snorre Kirk, and Papa Jo Jones, to name a few.
The band will also perform some original material so come on down for a diverse and enjoyable night of music!
Please consider paying the full ticket price of £10 if you can, to help support our musicians, and help to cover the deficit from the lower priced tickets and numerous payments involved in running the night.
