King John

When usurping King John refuses to give up the crown to his Nephew, Arthur, tensions rise and King Philip of France invades England. In this epic tale full of foul deals in disco clubs, splashy war affairs, and a visit from the Vatican, its every man for himself. For one night only, CU Scarborough students present a (mostly accurate) retelling of this Shakespeare History in the same hilarious and rogue style as 2023's Cymbeline and 2022's Pericles. Directed by voice tutor Helen Knudsen, the cast includes first year students Emilie Angus, Leon Cole, Thomas Dawes, Flynn Denton, Layton Irving, Harry Lee, Aidan Mitchell and Olivia Whittle.
