Lavenham Sinfonia Spring Concert 2025

The Lavenham Sinfonia are delighted to present a smorgasbord of Scandinavian music in the historic setting of Lavenham Church. The brilliant young violinist Mathilde Milwidsky returns to perform Sibelius' virtuosic violin concerto. The orchestra will also perform Kurt Atterberg's beautifully evocative celebration of the picturesque Varmland region of Sweden, a rhapsody by Johan Svendsen, and a symphony by one of the most important (and under-rated) Swedish composers of the 19th Century - Franz Berwald.
