Les Hommes + DJs The Karminsky Experience Inc. at Jamboree

Les Hommes were key to the electric-organ-in-jazz renaissance of the 1990s, yet their take on the genre always veered from the obvious. Heavily influenced by the Brazilian sounds of the 1960s they mix intense percussion workouts with billowing organ refrains. Their move towards the vintage Lowrey organ (and the influence of Brit organ supremo Alan Haven and Brazil's Walter Wanderley) also distinguished them from the cognoscenti. For their performance at Jamboree expect groovacious Rio bossamba, nods to 'library' jazz, rarified film music, and exotica.
