Czerny String Quartet in D major Smetana String Quartet No. 1 in E minor, ‘From My Life’

The Consone Quartet are much loved regular visitors to Perth Concert Hall. As well as a composer, Czerny was a virtuoso pianist who premiered Beethoven’s first piano concerto. Smetana’s quartet is a wonderfully rich outpouring of rich themes and deep Bohemian sentiment.
