Bangor Abbey presents Maeshine In Concert in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support & Alzheimer's Society. Bangor Abbey Church at 7.30 pm on Saturday 21st September 2024.

Our local duo Maeshine is back to share their unique tapestry of sound in the wonderful acoustic setting of Bangor Abbey. All the proceeds of this concert will go to Macmillan Cancer Support NI and Alzheimer’s Society NI and so there is a depth of gratitude for every ticket sold. Maeshine forges a sonic universe of their own by blending celtic, folk, world, classical crossover and new age genres. "Renowned for their pure voices and ethereal instruments, Maeshine have a reputation for taking audiences on a heartwarming journey, with lyrics and music that inspire well being." -- The Spectator With their stunning vocals, chimes, singing bowls, gypsy guitars, tambura chord, Rav Vast, gong and lullaby drum this duo is refreshingly original and spellbinding. Come and enjoy new songs and some well known ones like “Strickland’s Glen” from their album Gentle Peace. For this special fundraiser, they will be joined by other local musicians on cello, double bass and percussion. Doors open 7.15pm There will be an interval with some home baking and refreshments halfway through the concert.
