Malinky & Friends 25th and Session A9

For the past 25 years, Malinky have been at the forefront of the Scots song and ballad tradition. The band features the outstanding voices of leading Scots singers of their generation, Fiona Hunter and Steve Byrne, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Mike Vass, and noted Ulster singer and musician, Mark Dunlop.

Continuing on their distinctive mission as contemporary champions of traditional Scots song, for this special 25th anniversary concert, Malinky invite a range of singing friends to join them in performing their favourite Malinky number from across their six acclaimed albums since their debut Last Leaves was released - at Celtic Connections - in early 2000.

Guest singers joining the band include: Karine Polwart, Jim Malcolm, Eliza Carthy, Paul McKenna, Shona Donaldson, Chris Wright & Lucy Pringle, Mairead Walls, and Amy Lord.
