Carl Maria von Weber (1786-1826) - Trio in G minor, op 63 Johann Wilhelm Wilms (1772-1847) - Trio for flute, cello & piano in D major, op 6

Weber’s Trio Op. 63 has survived as perhaps the most well-known work for the flute-cello-piano trio from the early Romantic period. Wilms, born two years after Beethoven, wrote seven symphonies as well as the Dutch national anthem, yet his music remains almost completely unknown. In this concert, Marsyas Trio invites the audience to discover one of his musical gems - Trio for flute, cello and piano in D major.
