Committed to bringing you quality music, we're delighted to launch 'Mehfil - e - Rose Hill' - a year's programme of south Asian classical raag music - with a double bill of performances from UK emerging female artists: Amisha Karsan, sitarist and Diksha Murli Hindustani vocalist, who will be accompanied on tabla by Marc Clayton.
The evening is brought to you by local curator Atiya Gourlay, who has facilitated a collaboration between the beloved Brighton venue, The Rose Hill, and the renowned company zer0classikal, showcasing UK based artists performing south Asian classical music. It promises to be an intimate and enriching experience. The concept of "Mehfil" is truly special: offering a unique opportunity to enjoy live music in a close-knit setting. 'Mehfil' has been defined as "a gathering where music or poetry is performed for a small audience in an intimate setting." The focus on South Asian raag and its intricate improvisations will make an unforgettable immersive evening. See you there!
