Mel’s partner in this project is French musician and songwriter Stephan DeReine (Prince, Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder, Hans Zimmer, Billy Cobham, Danny Carey, Joey Heredia), who was recently cited as reference pianist in the Los Angeles magazine LA Buzz. Mel and Stephan’s first album “Code Name” caused a storm in the jazz world and was recognised as one of the best jazz-fusion releases of 2006.
