Northern Soul Night

Join us for a night of floor-filling Northern Soul tunes – on vinyl only – with guest DJs James McAlister (Perth) and Steve Willox (Aberdeen). Steve Willox started Northern Soul all nighters at the 62 club, a popular music hall in Aberdeen, along with 11 others in 1978, after regularly travelling to soul nights at the Wigan Casino in 1976/77. He then ran Northern soul nights at the Belmont for 10 years from 2003 before moving the club to the Holborn Duthie Suite, and runs an annual Northern Soul weekend at Aberdeen’s Beach Ballroom. James McAlister runs the Perth Northern Soul Club at the Saints Club on Barossa Street. People travel from across the country to the Club which has been running for 8 years.
