In our 110th year, we are proud to present our own version of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. This tale links with our values as a school. As well as embracing the fiercely independent female characters of Hermia and Titania, who embody our ethos of respect for self, our skilled students will also bring their own modern ideas and adaptations to this classic Shakespearean work. Many of our students are building on their experiences of studying Shakespeare in their English & Drama lessons, showing fantastic respect for learning through their further engagement with the work of the Bard. The collaborative approach of both cast and crew with our wonderful staff team reflects the consistent respect for others that our students have shown throughout the audition process and each subsequent rehearsal and production meeting. Respect, as we at Northampton School for Girls have honed over the past century, proliferates through our talented students' retelling: we hope, you wonder at this show, through this lens of respect for self, respect for others, and respect for learning.
