Following the resounding success of the inaugural Nu•Age Sounds tour in 2024, the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra further broadens its horizons with specially commissioned music from eight of Scottish jazz’s exciting young stars.

All distinguished, award-winning composers, their music promises to take audiences on a thrillingly innovative journey that harnesses the transformative power of a live big band.

This suite reflects our solar system’s awe-inspiring majesty, giving each planet its distinctive personality and addressing Earth’s contemporary concerns as video projections convey the atmospheric imagery connecting the solar and space experience.
