Independent Venue Week brings about the return of On the Rocks a night charged with rock’n’roll energy and electrifying live music. KEG: Landing somewhere between Dexys Midnight Runners and a jumper ready to be unravelled, Keg take pleasure in creating music which straddles chaos and knitwear. Preferring to delve into a diverse well of influences, the 7 instrumentalists that make up KEG have toured the UK extensively, bringing their enthralling live show to the masses while sharing stages with the likes of Squid and Yard Act. Humane the Moon: Humane the Moon has a primary goal that sits at the heart of the sonically charged, often anxious yet viscerally enlivening music that he makes: it has to be “something that makes you screw your face up a bit, run about and let loose,” he chuckles in a throaty East London accent. Curser: Wielding dynamic guitars, visceral vocals and a thumping rhythm section, their musical onslaught is intense and pure - soaked with blood, sweat and other bodily fluids. CURSER have a distinctly individual flair with their songwriting, drawing on influences from ‘90s alternative. Project Culture: Project Culture are a 4-piece Art Rock band from London, who live up to their name through their blending of various different forms of pop culture in their songs. They’ve been praised by BBC Introducing for their “post-punk energy and the sense of urgency in the songwriting”. This is an 18+ event .
