Copland Fanfare for the Common Man Montgomery Starburst Brahms Concerto for violin and cello, Op. 102 Shostakovich Symphony No. 1, Op. 10

Renowned Korean Violinist, Hyeyoon Park, and international cello soloist, Bartholomew LaFollette, join forces to perform Brahms's final work for orchestra - the Double Concerto. Foundation Conductor Daniel Joseph will take to the podium to direct Jessie Montgomery's joyful and colourful Starburst . Artistic Director Thomas Carroll will open the concert with Copland's iconic Fanfare for the Common Man and we close with Shostakovich's First Symphony, composed exactly 100 years ago, full of lively wit but also drama and tragedy.

We do hope you can join us for this evening of exceptional artistry and inspiration.

The Orpheus Sinfonia Foundation Programme is generously supported by the Skyrme Hart Charitable Trust.
