Singer, trumpet player, songwriter and producer Pete Horsfall is a wonderful musician, probably best known at the Club for his work with Kansas Smitty’s, of which he is a founding member. He has performed at most major UK jazz venues and festivals, including Ronnie Scott’s & the Barbican and has made numerous international appearances, including a week in New York City at Jazz at Lincoln Center. His album, ‘Nighthawks’, was acclaimed by the Guardian as ‘ravishing’, and he's also worked with artists including including DJ Premier, De La Soul, Kurt Elling, Jamie Cullum, Guy Barker and Friendly Fires. Pete will be here with his outstanding ensemble featuring Joe Webb (piano), Will Sach (bass) and Sam Jesson (drums), exploring new material from their deep and eclectic engagement with both jazz and hip-hop traditions.
