Plug & Play presents Nobody's Friends Shanty Group plus open mic

Nobody's Friends Shanty Group North & West Cumbria's only Shanty group (amazingly, given the area's rich maritime history). Based in Penrith, 8 guys with a long background in singing & folk music and a fair 'nautical pedigree' (ex-Navy and an award winning yachtsman). Founded in 2022, they first made their mark appearing at the Arnside Maritime Singing Festival and the Lancaster Maritime Festival in 2023 and going on to become the 'Official' Shanty group for Workington Lifeboat, with numerous appearances as part of this years 200th Anniversary of the RNLI. 2024 also brought a billing at Kendal Calling and performances at the Cumbria Steam Gathering, the Windermere Jetty Festival, Morecambe Maritime Festival & Whitby Folk Festival, as well as local apperances at Penrith Beer Festival & Winter Droving. They promise to bring rousing Shanties & Sea songs for all those coming to Plug n' Play (and will encourage joining in some well known choruses !).
