Pop Art, Pop Fashion: Exploring Contemporary Culture Through Line

2pm and 3pm We present our innovative annual partnership student fashion show that draws inspiration and aims to reinterpret the themes and visual elements of the exhibitions "Pop Life" and "Through Line". It will feature designs created by Edinburgh College Fashion & Textile students and highlight the enduring allure of the human form, exploring identity and societal norms as depicted in art history and contemporary culture. Inspired by "Pop Life", our students will reference diverse cultural influences such as music, film, fashion, and social media, translating these into wearable art pieces. Building on the concept of "Through Line," our fashion show will emphasize the use and exploration of line in artistic mediums. Influence from both exhibitions will be showcased through innovative fashion silhouettes and textile techniques.
