REAL WOMEN BIG LIVES
A CELEBRATION FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY FEATURING URSULA MCHUGH WITH SHEILA FAIRON, DR ANNE TRACEY, CAROL DOEY, LIZ WEIR, MARY MCGUIGGAN AND MAURA JOHNSTON
Celebrate International Women’s Day in style with Ursula McHugh and her host of special guests. ‘Real Women Big Lives’ is the brainchild of photographer and community activist Sheila Fairon. Her aim is to raise the profile of women in the arts in the North of Ireland, women whom Sheila describes as brilliant in their own right, but under the radar.
Ursula has been part of ‘Real Women Big Lives’ Project since its origins. Now she wishes to celebrate and pay homage to these women whom she says have inspired and enhanced her life as well as her creativity! This will be an evening of conversation, music, poetry, storytelling, dance and repartee with musical accompaniment from the talented and versatile pianist, Dee Doherty.
In their own inimitable style these talented women will entertain you as well as giving insights into their own creative lives, what sustains them, what keeps them keeping on, and keeping up with current exciting projects in this fast-changing world.
