Tom Maxwell’s Organ Stops is a new jazz organ trio featuring three young, emerging artists on the Dublin jazz scene. This trio originally started playing together at a weekly session in Dublin and now come together for a night of high energy, original and improvised music, paying tribute to some of the greatest Hammond players.

Tom Maxwell is a pianist, organist, composer and musical director. Having been introduced to many varying styles of music from a young age, classical and contemporary, he is a versatile young musician and plays regularly in different music scenes across Dublin. Maxwell’s influences come from as wide a range of music as he is familiar with, from musical theatre works by George Gershwin and Leonard Bernstein, to choral music by Jake Runstead and Ola Gjeilo, to jazz, where his favourite players include Oscar Peterson and Joey DeFrancesco.

Matthew O’Connell is a Dublin-based jazz guitarist and composer. He is an emerging artist on the Irish jazz scene and has played part in many groups and projects such as ‘Blue Notes’, featuring highly acclaimed Irish jazz artist Ronan Guilfoyle.

Michael McCarthy is a Dublin-based drummer, improviser and composer. With a strong background in jazz, he performs regularly in Dublin with many of Ireland's top improvising musicians.
