In celebration of the upcoming East and South East Asian heritage month in September, Haraya Choir proudly presents "SILANGAN: Treasured Songs from the East and South East Asia". Haraya Choir is a British - Filipino Chorale based in London and was officially formed in 2017 in a sold out debut concert at St. Peter's Church in Notting Hill. Haraya means "imagination" or "vision" in Tagalog. Haraya won 1st prizes at the North Wales Choir Festival (Pop and Mixed Choir categories) in 2022 and the grand prize at the Manchester Amateur Choir Competition in 2020. Having different professions and backgrounds with singers mostly nurses and staff from the NHS/healthcare sector (including BARTS Health, UCLH, Chelsea and Westminster, Kings College Hospital, Luton and Dunstable and Cromwell Hospital), the members are unified through their shared passion for singing and musical excellence.

In this mini concert, Haraya aims to bring the rich and diverse musical history of the East and South East Asia to our audience with songs from China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia and The Philippines.
